Cancer Survivorship

Because cancer is treatable and in some cases curable a community of survivors exists.

Survivorship is a complex state and involves a person dealing with the sequelae of treatment and in many cases live with the anxiety that the cancer may come back.

Reintegration into social and economic activities is a key part of survivorship. It is important to support an individual’s expressed limitations after cancer treatment.

Cancer survivorship can also be a positive experience and inspire to start new movements such as societies and advocacy groups.
